Missouri Wing | Civil Air Patrol

About Us
We are, by law, the official United States Air Force Auxillary. We perform 95% of inland search and rescue missions, primarily for the AFRCC (Air Force Rescue Coordination Center) as well as various other agencies. The Civil Air Patrol also carries out other operations such as assisting with disaster relief efforts as well as even assisting law enforcement with counterdrug operations. We offer a wide array of aerospace education opportunities ranging from learning concepts in a classroom setting to model rocketry to even flying CAP aircraft on orientation flights. We also have a cadet program which follows the stringent regulations imposed by the Air Force itself.

How To Join
Anybody who is between the ages of 12 and 18 can join the Civil Air Patrol as a cadet, anyone older than 18 can join as a senior member. In order to join you must simply attend a local squadron meeting and you can turn in a membership application to get the process started. Once joined, you have no military obligations nor are you a member of the armed forces. We meet on the Missouri Air National Guard base at Lambert International Airport.
